Practice Beliefs My philosophy around health and healing is seated in the concept and idea that we humans are able to tap into our internal healing systems (immune system) to take control of our own lives. As a licensed massage therapist, I believe in the powers of natural medicine to facilitate health and restoration within the body. Evidence-based background in holistic health, integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and complementary and alternative medicine based around the concept of what we do on a daily basis dictates how our futures will look, according to our desired outcomes. I take an unusual approach to bodywork and not only treat physical but also focus on the whole person (body, mind, spirit) to empower my clients to take charge of their own health and determination of quality of life. My work brings me joy because I strive to see others become healthy and fulfilled individuals. Empowerment and education go hand in hand when working with my clients and there is no greater feeling than when someone "gets it" or becomes excited about reaching new possibilities of having a healthy body/mind. I began my career as a massage therapist out of a desire for helping others though providing quality customer service and building a dedicated practice. Over the years these concepts have transmuted into what I believe today and my goals will allow me to work deeper and deeper with clients to help them achieve great results in their own lives. I wouldn't believe in the power of both therapeutic touch and bodywork unless I have seen their powerful effects myself. In summer of 2014, I injured myself lifting weights and it was through therapeutic massage and Chiropractic I began to feel better within my body. This sparked my initial interest in therapeutic applications of bodywork and a love bloomed from there. As I work to grow and build my practice, it is my hope to learn skills that will allow me to transform lives, integrate change, and cultivate awareness around new possibilities for my clients. Outside of my practice, I'm a big fan of getting out into nature, such as camping, kayaking, hiking, and just taking in scenery. I also enjoy socializing, going to concerts, taking trips, and having adventures. I can usually be found behind a book, cup of tea, biking around on my road bike, or diving down a rabbit hole on some new piece of information that caught my eye.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
